Dr. Upul Jayasinghe

Dr. Upul Jayasinghe is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. He also serves as the Director of the Information Technology Center at the same university. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Liverpool John Moores University, UK. He holds an M.Eng. from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, and a B.Sc. Eng. (Hons) from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.

Dr. Jayasinghe has extensive teaching, managerial, and research experience in higher education institutions across the world, including EFFL, Switzerland, and the University of Oulu, Finland. He has made significant contributions to several internationally funded research and development initiatives, including projects under ITU-T, ERASMUS+, and Horizon Europe. His research interests include machine learning, image processing, privacy-preserving data protection, blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), computer networks and security, and wireless communications. Dr. Jayasinghe is a Senior Member of the IEEE and an Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL).
